Michelle Johnson is going to be a Senior at Allderdice high school in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She returned to the group this year to participate in the two week program, that highlighted what to expect out of college. She stated "At first I really didn't like the program but then I realized how much it could benefit my future." Michelle also Said that her favorite class was the Learning strategies class taught by Dr. Rodger Briscoe, because she liked learning how to approach topics like studying in new ways. After high school Michelle is interested in going to school for Engineering, and Her most memorable moment was helping get the younger people involved with the program.
Kalvin Jones is going to be a Junior at Westinghouse high school in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He returned in Group one to attend the program for two weeks. Kalvin said that he loves everything about the program. Kalvin's favorite thing to do when he comes to the program is to got to the Mall and explore some of the places around IUP's campus. Kalvin stated " My favorite class in the program is Dr. Briscoe's Learning strategies class because he breaks everything down so it is easy to understand and he was very entertaining." The two most important things that Kalvin reported learning was how to be successful, and learning what to expect out of college.
